To synchronize your desktop files with your device, you will need to first download and install the Documents To Go Desktop application to your Windows computer. Note: This feature is included with your ‘Premium’ or ‘Desktop Sync only’ purchase but not in the free edition. To download the desktop application, go here.
Install the desktop application
A “Welcome” Screen should pop up on the screen. Click Next. Note: If the Welcome screen doesn’t pop up, choose Add Device from the Options menu.
Connect the Android device to the computer with a USB cable and click Next.
Choose the option from the Android Notification bar for Use USB for File Transfers or MTP (vs USB for Charging only or any other option).
On the desktop, click Next and then open Docs To Go on your Android device.
You should now have the option to Name your device for Docs To Go purposes. Do this and click next.
On your Android device, tap on the Desktop option. You should see the name of your PC listed under Desktop Accounts.
On your computer, you can now add files to be synced with your Android. Choose Add folder and then find the folders which have the files that you want to sync and select them. Click Next to select the files themselves.
You can also drag and drop files into the MyDocsToGo folder that is now in your Documents folder on your PC.
Click Sync and the files will be moved over to your Android device. Now you can make changes on your phone and have them sync back to your computer the next time you connect and hit Sync. You can also create files on your Android while in the Desktop tab section of Docs To Go and they will be synced with your computer.
