Even though Docs To Go Premium has been discontinued, you can still install it on a new phone or reinstall it on an old one. The process is different depending on how you originally purchased Docs To Go Premium.
There are two ways you could have purchased Docs To Go Premium. One is by purchasing one of the premium features inside the Docs To Go free app. This is called an “in app purchase”. The other way is to purchase the Docs To Go Premium Key. The Premium Key works alongside the Docs To Go Free app and “unlocks” the premium features in the free app. If you purchased the Key, you will need to have both apps on your Android device.
Regardless of how you purchased the premium app, you can still use Premium on a new device or an old one that has been reset.
If you purchased via In App Purchase
You must first install Docs To Go Office Suite (formerly called Docs To Go Free) from Google Play.
Once you do that, the premium features should automatically work. If they don’t, then it’s most likely because you don’t have the right Gmail address linked to your Google Play account. The account that was used when you originally purchased the in app purchase MUST be in the Accounts section of the Settings app on your phone. If the ads are still showing or the premium features are not available, go to Google Play and tap on the letter in the upper right corner to get into your Google Play account. You will see Purchases & Subscriptions and then Budget and History. You should see Premium Unlock, Cloud Access or Desktop Sync listed somewhere in the list of purchases. If you don’t see it, you need to go to the Accounts section of the Settings app on your phone and add the correct Gmail address to Accounts.
Note: Once you do that, you might need to restart the phone and/or reinstall Dos To Go Office Suite in order for the ads to go away and the premium features to show up.
If you purchased the Premium Key from Google Play
The Premium key won’t show up in the Play store anymore since it’s been discontinued. You need to go to the Google Play store and click on the letter in the upper right to get into your account. You will then see Purchases and Subscriptions and then Budget & History. Under there, you will see Apps that you have either downloaded for free or purchased. You will see Docs To Go Premium Key listed and then you can tap on it to download it.
