DailyBalance is intentionally simpler than other apps
DailyBalance is intended to be a simple framework that you can customize to fit your life and work style. Its flexible structure allows you to organize in a way that makes sense to you. This simplicity is intentional and based on our experience trying to use other apps that force you to fit into the app’s features.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
Our belief is that when a new thing-to-do pops up, it is unnatural to try to decide up front if it is a task or a “Project” or a “List” or a “Checklist Item” or some other type of app concept. Instead, everything in DailyBalance is a task. And, any task can be turned into a project by adding sub-tasks. At any point if your understanding of things changes, you can drag a sub-task out a level and make it it’s own standalone task or project. Compared to other apps, this simplicity reduces the amount of thinking that you need to do about the process of collecting and managing your tasks.
DailyBalance aims to be the place for you to capture anything and everything that might demand your attention. Unless a new thing that pops up is an emergency, it should be captured quickly without a lot of thought. This way you stay focused on the plan you made for the day. You’ll be able to maintain your focus as long as the new things are captured to a place that you trust that you’ll see tomorrow. Tomorrow you can decide what the new things are and what their priority is.
