To make edits in a Word document, first tap the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen to switch to Edit Mode.

1. Character Formatting

Select text to apply character or paragraph formatting.

Tap the Character Formatting button on the toolbar to show common formatting options to apply. Then, tap the desired option to apply that formatting to the current selection.

Character formatting includes: bold, italic, underline, text color, highlight color, and font type/size. For advanced formatting options, tap on the three vertical dots on the top toolbar.

2. Paragraph Formatting

Tap the paragraph icon; to show paragraph alignment options: left, center, right, justified, distributed;. You can also increase or decrease indent under paragraph formatting. Increase / Decrease Indent – Change the indent level of the current paragraph one level. Spacing Before and Spacing After will allow options to change the line spacing.

3. Bulleted and Numbered Lists

Tap the bullet icon to choose between applying a bulleted, numbered, or outline list. Create new lists, or select existing text to apply list formatting. Multilevel lists can be created by selecting the increase/decrease indent options.
