Passwords Plus has been Discontinued

FAQs

We have made the difficult decision to discontinue Passwords Plus. This was not an easy decision, but we no longer have the resources to continue to support the product. The ongoing costs of cloud storage and keeping up with OS updates have made it impossible to continue selling this app.

The app was sold as a one time purchase for a relatively low price. This business model doesn’t provide the recurring income required to keep up with maintenance and support. This is why many apps have moved to subscriptions, but that was not feasible for Passwords Plus.

Technical support for Passwords Plus ended June 30, 2022. Support is only available through our knowledge base on our website.

It’s in your best interest to change to a new password manager. We have teamed up with mSecure, another small company that makes a password manager. They are offering a special discount for Passwords Plus customers and have created a custom import for Passwords Plus data making the move in quite simple. Click here for more info.

Basically, you need to export your data from Passwords Plus and then import it into another app.  We detail how to do this here.

Yes.  Passwords Plus will still work on all platforms (Mac, Windows, iOS and Android) until the point where an OS update “breaks” it.  We have no idea if and when that will happen.  Syncing will stop working on January 31, 2023. Passwords Plus will continue to work locally on each platform but will no longer sync between devices, nor will be it backed up.

Yes, you can install it on a computer.  For instructions on how to do this, go here. In addition, you can install a trial version on Mac and Windows in order to export your data.

You can only get support via knowledge base on our support site.  We stopped supporting Passwords Plus via email on June 30, 2022, 3 months after it was discontinued.
