How Secure is Passwords Plus... really?

AES 256 bit Encryption

We use the strongest encryption in the industry to secure your data.  Period.  This is the same level of encryption used by banks.  We also don’t move any of it from your phone to the cloud unencrypted.

What is a Master Password?

A master password is one password that you need to open Passwords Plus so you can see all your other passwords.  So it’s the only one you need to remember going forward.  Make this one as strong as you can and still remember it as this will make your data that much safer.

Should I be afraid of having my info in the cloud?

Absolutely not.  We use Amazon AWS as our hosting service because they take security as seriously as we do. They have what are considered the most secure servers in the industry. In addition,  Information in the cloud stays encrypted at all times.  We only decrypt your info on your device after you’ve entered your master password.

Your Master Password is known ONLY by you.

No one knows your password except YOU. We don’t store master passwords anywhere so there is no chance of anything getting out. What happens if you forget your master password?  You will need to start over, from scratch. This is the only way to ensure your data cannot be retrieved by ANYONE.
