Some of your online files in DocsToGo may have certain icons associated with them.
- A green “sync” button on top of the document icon means that a change was made on the iOS device and that you must synchronize in order to have the changes reflected in the cloud. Usually you will also get a message telling you to sync whenever a change is made. It is a good idea to always sync when changes are made. To force a sync, simply “pull to refresh” on the file list screen.
- A red “minus” sign over the document means it is Read Only. You are allowed to make changes to the document, but you cannot save the file as the same name. You must “save as” with a different name so as not to overwrite the original file. This is the case with Shared Documents (explained above) as well as spreadsheets that use formulae that are not supported in Docs To Go.
At times there may be problems trying to communicate with the cloud account’s server and an error may occur; typically performing another sync will allow the sync to complete successfully.
